I purchased the “desiredfuture.com” domain upon retiring from my Forest Service career in 1995 and began contracting and consulting work. The phrases “Desired Future” or “Desired Future Condition” were commonly used in my job when referring to the National Environmental Policy Act process (i.e., documenting the perceived effects or potential outcomes of various courses of action). Now, I am retired and no longer involved with NEPA, however, contemplating and planning my “desired future” is still rather important to me so I kept the domain name.
